Great to see it being used, instead of stuck in a display cabinet.
And they way those things hold the corners at high speed is quite something!

It has been sitting in a loft for quite a while. Started off a bit slow but needed wound up so spent a while looking for the key.

Lucky you. They made this model with a grey coal truck and the same brake van into the 1950's. Get that 3 in 1 oil out and put some lubrication on the gears and clockwork spring, before the winding up friction snaps it.
