USA freight schedules.

I am visiting Augusta, GA soon and I would like to see the spectacle of a freight service come off the bridge over the Savannah River and run along a city street (6th Street).

I was wondering if anyone would know if the services down that street run to a specific schedule? I believe CSX, and Norfolk & Southern run on this route.

Does this happen anywhere else in the US?

There are certainly other places in the US where full size freights run down public streets. The screenshot attached is from a webcam in La Grange Kentucky. Amtrak has street running in Oakland.

AIUI most American freight trains run as extras, i.e. not to any schedule. In some areas railroad radio comms can be picked up on a scanner to work out what's coming, but analogue channels are steadily being replaced by secure digital systems that can't be eavesdropped.
