This November 2013 “Lunchbox Lecture” from the National World War II Museum explores how America’s railroads coped with tens of millions of civilians and service personnel who flooded the trains during the war. The tracks also teemed with tons upon tons of supplies, food and war material needed for the United States to win the war. Presentation by Education Programs Coordinator Lauren Handley.
