Just to confuse matters, whenever the NMT is under maintenance PLPR-1, which includes
the Mentor OLE test coach, 'steps up' to work its trains - this is due to happen next week.

Should be 43301+43303 on that diagram (PLPR vice NMT) all next week.

You seem to know an awful lot about test trains (I guess you would as Freightmaster, lol!) would you happen to know when the next 37 hauled inspection train would be? I don't mean a 37 test train. I was in the area a few months ago when Caroline hauled by a 37 passed through the Glasgow area but missed it. Would be very interested to see it at some point. Is it something that works on a schedule like the test trains or is it more of a random occurrence? Thanks

Not to be that grumpy guy, but I don't think Caroline will be out and about anytime soon with Loram now having ceased operations, 37418 and Caroline are sat in Derby RTC awaiting a new operator and 950001 is going to scrap (as far as I am aware), so I wouldn't get you're hopes up on seeing Caroline anytime soon, sorry about that.

It’s diesel loco to take the The Great Northern tour from Darlington back to Birmingham. Tornado works it out from New St to Carlisle and back to Darlington Top n Tail with 37240. Maybe it’s the 47 Vintage trains have at Tyseley 773?

Ouch. Is it expected that there will be any new operator for 418 and Caroline? If not, is preservation in the cards?
