Real-time train running information for 3E99 0938 departure from Longsight T.M.D. (D) to Doncaster Works Wagn Shops on 25/09/2024. From Realtime Trains, an independent source of train running info for Great Britain.

It is timed as Class 397 from Longsight but, given that it ends up on the ECML, I would expect it is more likely to be a class 802/2.

I am particularly interested in why it stops at all the minor stations in Northumberland (Chathill etc. BUT NOT Morpeth) for half a minute. Doesn't seem long enough for some sort of timing trial. I know TPE have suggested stopping services south of Edinburgh in the past - could this be connected ?

Any insight would be appreciated.

The unit involved is 397003 but that’s all I know!

37405 last seen at Shrewsbury Coleham, not sure if still there
56302 went up to Doncaster from Rectory Jn earlier in week, again not sure if still there
57009 is one of the T Birds at Newark, normally parked next to station
59002 been at Midland Road for months, it was visible from the lineside a while back
I suspect, but don’t know, 66550 worked into Felixstowe on 4L69 from Lawley St
66602 at Midland Road for a while also

not all up to minute info admittedly..

Thanks for info on 550 swidnod, loco swap at Lawley St with 598 coming in from East Usk yesterday and now on container duties and 550 on the aggregate.

Always worth checking Part Time Spotter for 196s and that includes their diagrams.

196101 to 196104 are rarely out so I would suggest a visit to Tyseley. See the Class 196 thread Link here for more info/intrigue.
