Looking to finish my ALR tomorrow with Virgin.

At weekends, Virgin offer FREE First Upgrades for passengers with Anytime tickets.

As I hold a Standard Class 7-Day ALR with YP Discount, do we think I can upgrade for free?

Ask the guard, they may say yes. If you really want FC travel ask before boarding and if they say no ask the next one - one is bound to say yes.

But no, it's not actually an Anytime ticket so you are not automatically entitled to it.

This has been discussed at length previously elsewhere, I can't be bothered to look up the thread on my phone, but the number of years the price remained the same actually makes it the equivalent of a 1.something percent year on year. So there :P
