Ok, now I definitely think this is being argumentative for the sake of it!
I don't think that waiting for a train is such an unusual thing to do.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. I just don't see the point of hanging around if there are other options and I wouldn't make a journey without planning it to some degree.

When I went to York I had an hour and a half wait at KGX for my train. I did get an earlier train than planned to get to KGX, but even if I hadn't I'd still have had to wait an hour. In that case the FC lounge could prove very useful. I didn't make use of it however, even though I had a FC ticket (would have had to pay a £5 supplement though).
