Hello everyone,

While browsing through this forum, I noticed a lack of updates regarding the outcomes of receiving a Notice of Intention to Prosecute. If anyone has any recent updates regarding their own experiences and the results they obtained, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share them here.

The relatively few people who update on the closure of their issue tend to do so in the thread they started to discuss it, rather than centrally.

As each case is different and resolved on its own merits, I am not sure there is a lot that you will learn from outcomes experienced by others.

Indeed. Many (new) posters creating threads on the 'Disputes and Prosecutions' sub-forum only ever seem to hang around until they have received the general advice they were very possibly looking for, and then completely disappear, never to be heard from again.

You are less cynical than I am, clearly; my assessment would be “until they find out that this forum isn’t going to get them off breaking the law” :E

I had a friend and she had the same issues as me but she used her real name and address and she was fined £79 so I was just wondering..

And your case has not yet concluded, so you may get a similar result.

And in the news recently was the guy who was jailed for 10 months for using a false name and address when challenged for a ticket

Indeed. Not to mention a recent thread (deleted now, unsurprisingly) where someone appeared to be asking for advice on how they could most effectively pervert the course of justice.

Still, some do update us, which makes all the difference; I’m not sure how many would bother to give advice otherwise.
