The first and last in the list are almost certainly charters in association with the British Open golf. Not sure what the middle two are though.

When was the last time a loco hauled passenger service did Preston-Ormskirk? And trains crossed at Rufford?

Timetabled to arrive Watford Junction 22:43, leave 22:48
Actually arrived 22:15, left 22:48
What was going on there? Did the driver push it a bit? He seems to have gained 28 minutes, yet Euston arrival was on time. If I was a passenger sitting at Watford for 30 minutes I would have been a bit peeved at the seemingly pointless delay

March 7 2015 was certainly a recent date.

I did the Preston - Ormskirk line on that day and we crossed a Pathfinder tour at Rufford. 2x37 on load 12 made a fine sight!

It was the same day as the preserved railway at Preston was having a gala day with a visiting GBRf class 66.

15th June 2017 saw a loco hauled charter down to Ormskirk. 68 on one end 66 on the other.

It had 23 minutes pathing time between Rugby and Watford for something a lot slower in front of it (probably a freight) in the timetable, the slower train clearly didn't run.

I don' know why you would be peeved because it didn't do that. It arrived at Watford Junction 20 mins early and Euston 24 mins early.

that arrival time has been changed since I originally submitted the post - it was showing a near 30 minute wait at Watford and an arrival exactly on time
