DB are having a few challenges following the introduction of their new operating model at start of July and are having to hire-in crews and/or locos from other FOCs to fulfil certain workings. Suspect that's the reason.

I believe I read in a railway rag that this flow had been sub-contracted to Freightliner for the foreseeable. Like the above poster said, due to their new crew resource management issues they have either no crew or no loco or both.
