unusual consist through Rugby about half past 1

82129, 82145 and 3 other yellow network rail coaches propelled by ATW liveried 67003! A few minutes later the yellow banana hst roared through also going south!

Looks like it was 5Z68 1234 Stafford - Northampton, followed by 1Q27 Crewe CS - Derby RTC.

were the two DVTs on the same end of the formation, or were they at opposite ends "facing outwards"? The latter would make sense

That has been running up and down the WCML for a Few weeks, the 67 has swapped which DVT its coupled to recently so would guess its testing the DVTs. As it runs constantly over the same bit of track day after day it would seem unlikely to be any infrastructure testing.

No! The two DVTs were at the front but coupled together but both facing south! And in bright yellow it made for a very unusual sight!
67003 propelled it from the rear

Saw this at Derby this evening now in an even more unusual formation. It now has a Dvt at each end. The formation is DVT-67003-mk2-mk2-DVT.
