Hi all, I recently passed both interview and assessments for a conductors position with TPE, but yesterday I got the dreaded unsuccessful email. Has anyone been in this position before? I was also told to wait six months before applying again, I thought this was the procedure if you failed the assessments. Thanks.

Sorry to hear that, keep trying and be patient. It is worth the effort.

some tocs will not allow you apply for same roles if you failed within 6 months first and northern spring to mind.

Yeah I thought that was the case, but I thought that was for failing the assessments. I'm a little confused as I passed the interview and assessments.

Maybe you need to look at your references, the details in your application (if incorrect) and past sickness record. This will be a couple of reasons why a TOC will refuse you if you have passed the tests and interviews.

Thanks TDK, I know my sickness record is spot on, references I will look at again and application, I would never forgive myself if I failed on a school boy error. It's just so frustrating knowing I've passed both but still fail, cheers for the advice.

Sometimes questions are asked and answers given that do not co-inside with the application form, this is a very common error and todays demand for these posts it could be something as simple as this that will mean you are knocked back.
