Unrealistic bus timings

Another odd one today.

The 0139 Euston to MKC appears to be cancelled and replaced by a bus this evening but departing at 0155 and with impossible timings that appear to be based on timings by rail.

An error, or are they just putting the tiny number of passengers it's likely to carry in a taxi each which might make the timings possible?

Probably just something whacked in at late notice by control.

I'm surprised that service isn't set down only at the various WCML stations to save the hassle of having a replacement bus serve everywhere even though they have nobody on board

On a Sunday evening/Monday morning passenger numbers on that service will be low enough that a couple of taxis would do.

The return working at 0330 from MKC (this is the only unit that doesn't "go to bed") will be a bigger issue - this train is quite a bit busier with the likes of Tube and bus workers. A few cancellations of early morning Tubes and buses will likely have resulted from that one.

The 01:39 is cancelled again tonight apparently.

I assume whacked in very last minute as from my experience Network Rail will send you an email asking for a correction if you bid a bus with totally impossible timings.
