Noticed a TfL FOI regarding the performance of the 292 recently
Some interesting findings, 56% of journeys actually running end to end strikes me as rather poor!

1) What percentage of scheduled services between 06:00 and 08:00 have not been delivered? 2) What mitigation plan has Uno put in place to address these repeated failures? 3) Are any penalties or fines being applied to Uno for not meeting their contractual obligations with TfL? 4) Is there a defined timeframe within which Uno must return to full contractual compliance? While I understand that issues such as staff sickness and vehicle breakdowns can occur, the scale and frequency of disruption on route 292 strongly suggest that Uno does not currently have the necessary resources, whether available drivers or operational buses, to meet the agreed service levels. If Uno is unable to fulfil its contractual commitments, TFL should consider taking appropriate action. This may include revising the timetable to reflect the actual level of service Uno can provide, or, if necessary, terminating the contract. It would be extremely disappointing to see the route reduced to an hourly service given the number of passengers who rely on it, but the current situation is clearly unsustainable.
Thank you for your request which we received on 19 February 2026, asking for information about bus route 292.
Your request has been considered in accordance with the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and our information access policy. I can confirm that we hold the information you require. You specifically asked:
In period 10 – towards Borehamwood – 56% of trips were completed end to end & towards Colindale – 58% of trips were completed end to end.
In period 11 - towards Borehamwood – 58% of trips were completed end to end & towards Colindale – 64% of trips were completed end to end.
In terms of the route’s performance against its minimum performance target (82 % on time), the route achieved 59.5% on time in period 10 and 63.2% in period 11.
TfL reporting periods are based on a 13-period financial year, with each period covering four weeks (28 days) for operational and financial reporting.
Uno have been asked to submit a detailed action plan to TfL detailing how performance will be improved, addressing the specific areas. This will cover engineering reliability, staffing resilience and operational delivery, with defined actions, ownership and timescales.
The penalty imposed will be deductions to the payment based on the route’s performance compared to the contract minimum performance standard.
