Tuesday morning, I start 4 days of hopping around the UK visiting different unis.

Due to many complications, the route is the following (standard class unless otherwise stated):

Tuesday
Liverpool L St - London Euston
London Paddington - Plymouth
(there were no AP tickets left from Birmingham, so via London worked out £40 cheaper!)

Wednesday
Return to Liverpool, again via London (arrive Liverpool L St at 2335)

Thursday
Depart Liverpool at 0715 on a TPE service bound for Scarbrough, change at York for Durham.
Spend Thursday looking at Durham uni before catching the 1827 NXEC service to Edinburgh.

Friday
Visit Edinburgh uni during the day, catch the 1611 TPE service to MIA, which arrives in Preston just shy of 7pm I think!
Then it gets interesting. I was meant to be refereeing a football competition in Milton Keynes the following Saturday and Sunday. The organisers had already sent me FC AP tickets from Preston (as I'd requested) to MKC, returning late on Sunday night. They then decided to cancel the competition.
Using FGWs online discount, it's worked out cheaper to get an AP single from Rugby at 2203, change at Warrington, and get into Liverpool at 00:41!

Am I mad? Or will it be fun?
I'll let you know how I get on!

Durham is good if you're quiet and don't want a rave every night of the week. Otherwise, go to either of the two in Manchester, Leeds and Sheffield. ;)

I remember running around Scotland for Open Days. Good fun, and an excuse for a wee jolly   Not quite as hectic as your schedule, though! I was just Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Aberdeen. I'm not studying there, but I did quite like the feel of Edinburgh Uni.

Hope you enjoy the trip!
