Well hello Ladies and Gentlemen from Oxfordshire!

Unit 1198 has now safely arrived at her new home - which will be revealed by . The move was near enough completed 'overnight' from the Pontypool & Blaenavon Railway, with whom we conclude a good working relationship. We obviously wish them all of the best in the future.

Right, let's get to the real bare bones. We need people's time, and we need people's financial support! Donations of all sizes are welcome.

We will have until October to get the unit looking absolutely perfect. That is to say we need everything completely clean, whether it be floors, seating covers, cabs, brake van or outside! Similarly, we need people to help us ensure the mechanical and electrical sound-ness of various items and components. Our understanding is that we will also be re-liverying the unit to their requirements of the home line.

If you would consider visiting http://emups.t15.org, you can make a donation via Paypal to secure the future of the unit. You can also find out more about us by sending us a 'private message' if you would like to get hands on immediately.

Many thanks!

I would be possibly interested in volunteering if I knew the location was near enough to be practical, I would PM you but I'd feel a tit saying "I'm interested!" then only saying its too far when you told me where you would be based. ;)

I do wish you guys luck with this, it is of great historical significance that a BR southern region slam door EMU is preserved to a high standard.
