unidentified object

Can anyone identify this object its a winged thistle with " We Serve " underneath ,it weighs 2.5kg is nearly 2 ft long and is metal. someone said it was possibly from a version of the flying scotsman . Any help appreciated

It’s is vaguely reminiscent of the “thistle” headboard that was carried by the Flying Scotsman train during the sixties and seventies, but that was a much more substantial, “beefier” thistle crest made of fibreglass that must surely have measured about four feet across.

Having browsed the internet I can’t find any mention to the “We Serve” motto either, so in short I’m afraid I can’t identify this item, be it railway related or otherwise.

Thanks for the info, its heavy enough to be from an engine or coach . Maybey a military train?

"We Serve" is the motto of the Lions Club.

Wonder if that's got any relevance? Looks like quite an interesting find in any case.

It looks pretty old this object , has two holes in the rear for mounting. I had a look at the lions website. nothing that sticks out there. Thanks for the input
