The Northumberland coast has to be one of the nicest places in Britain . . . .

I agree.
I've spent many hours taking walks along vast deserted beaches, over the dunes or clambering over rocks.

And a similar number of hours in the little village pubs along that coast, often sitting outside overlooking the sea.
