Understanding TOPS 'LAST LOCN' / Train Identity fields

A Train Identity (e.g. 722J33M801) is composed of the first two digits of the originating location's STANOX code, then the 'headcode', then a number or digit... but what's the next character?

I've been told it refers to the time at the originating location:

* 0-6 are complete hours from between 0000 and 0639 (0 = 0000 - 0059, 1 = 0100 - 0159 etc.)
* A-Z are half hours - A is 0700-0729, B is 0730 - 0759, C is 0800 - 0829 etc.
* 7-9 are complete hours, 7 = 2100 - 2159, 8 = 2200 - 2259, 9 = 2300 - 2359

Here's where it comes unstuck. Working it out, W is 1800 - 1829, X is 1830 - 1859, Y is 1900 - 1929 and if Z is 1930 - 1959, then we're missing a letter for 2000 - 2059.

Anyone know for certain what these letters represent?

Had a look at that post - it filled in a couple of gaps in my knowledge, but it's pretty vague about the elusive third-from-last character...

I have a TRUST printout for a service timed to depart at 1800 which has a 'W' in this field, and tonight's 1S95 (1830 EUS-GLC) has a 'X', which validates 1830-1859 being 'X'...

From my own records, I have this:

0 - 6  00:00/00:59 to 06:00/06:59
A - X  07:00/07:29 to 18:00/18:59
Y - Z  19:00/19:59 to 20:00/20:59
7 - 9  21:00/21:59 to 23:00/23:59

Y and Z represent a full hour, rather than a half hour. I don't know where I got this from but I'll leave you to test my findings.
