Understanding Network Rail Salaries & Benefits

Hi there,

I’m looking at moving to Network Rail for a Band 2 position in London.

Is anyone able to shed some light on the pay bands? The bands 1-4 tables I find online seem out of date.

Also are there any additional allowances and what % employer pension do they provide?

Trying to understand what the full package looks like but limited information from my googling.

This is off the top of my head but I don't think it''s wildly inaccurate. 2017 figures for the role clarity bands are easy to find online. Scale 2C zone 1 minimum to about £90k and you won't be far out I reckon. Should be same sort of percentage across the table. About £6k car allowance. About £3.5k London weighting. I can't remember the maximum bonus % of salary for band 2 but I think it's at least 30%, although you won't ever get near maximum; still be worth having. There's private healthcare (or some extra cash). All sorts of discounts available but nothing to get too excited about. Pension for a new entrant I'm afraid I have no idea; there is one.
