In Bakerloo days (pre-1978), and early days of the Jubilee, after the last tube, a couple of Metropolitan Line trains called at Willesden Green and Neasden on the fast line, and one or two others transferred to the slow line either just before or just after Finchley Road, calling at all stations. [Both connections have now been removed; the existence of the former explains why northbound platform 2 is higher than the tube train floors, whereas platform 3 is lower.] Either or both of the latter were Circle line trains returning in service to Wembley Park, before stabling at Neasden.
Corresponding inbound services in the early morning, through just the one crossover north of Finchley Road, which still exists, though apparently disused and perhaps scheduled for imminent removal.
I once travelled in a C69 train to Watford, substituting for A-stock during a period of disruption. A little confusing for non-regulars as the maps didn't quite match the route (as with all the above off-routing)!
I also remember a fascinating piece of expediency one weekend 1977-ish, when the Bakerloo was shut for engineering work south of Finchley Road, and Bakerloo trains ran on the Met between there and Baker Street, using Platform 4 at the latter. And another some years ago when (a predecessor of) South Eastern trains ran a weekend service between East Putney and Wimbledon when the District had engineering work south of Putney Bridge.
