Noticed at West Hampstaed in London that Underground towards Kilburn runs over the Overground towards Brondesbury. Are there many other incidences like this?

You mean that London Underground lines cross over Network Rail lines.?
Yes- There are many examples around London which would make a long list of locations.

The Underground platforms at Whitechapel are above the Overground! You have to go downstairs when interchanging.

At both Stratford (Central Line) and West Ham (Metropolitan /District) the platforms were above the now closed Stratford- North Woolwich National Rail line.

To be fair though, the Overground line there used to be another Underground one in a previous life.

Not out loud, but the words did flash past my eyes.

The Underground goes over the Overground in the Chiswick Park, Latimer Road and Kenton areas! Plus as mentioned the countless other NR places

Network Rail and Overground are most definitely not synonymous

Whitechapel this genuine photo may provide some mild amusement (it is too big to post)

I noticed that when I passed through..certainly made me smile ;).

I still call the Overground in that section the East London Line - it doesn't seem right calling it the overground <D
