Unannounced SWR service reductions

Good afternoon...last Saturday and now I see this Saturday, Guildford - Waterloo via Cobham services have been reduced from 2 to 1 an hour. Can anyone advise why and how many weeks this will go on for. Nothing on SWR publicity or at the stations on this...many thanks

Last weekend and this coming weekend, it's due to engineering work closing some lines at Queenstown Road. https://www.southwesternrailway.com/plan-my-journey/planned-improvements/january-2023-works
Should be back to normal from Saturday 12th Feb as far as I can tell.

It is publicised on the weekly engineering works posters and website pages. It’s due to some of the mainline side lines being closed around Queenstown Road, reducing capacity. Various service changes are taking place such as combining the Alton/Basingstoke trains east of Woking and various routes reduced to hourly.

“London Waterloo to Guildford via Cobham stopping services will be revised to run hourly and will not call at Vauxhall.”
