Does anyone know why whenever I post links using an Android device the links don't work on this forum, also how do you put those quotes on using Android mobile devices for e-reader users? Cheers

How do you mean? Do you know how to highlight and copy the link you need form the address bar?
And what do you mean by quote thing?
If you cant see the quote button on forums then highlight the text required and when you place it somewhere on a forum use [ quote] text here [ /quote] but without the spaces

I am aware that some browsers would seem to post the text of the URL without it being formatted as a link - is that the issue you're referring to?
If so, in a similar way to the 'quote tags' Clip describes, its possible to manually format a URL, see the details under URL on our page about BB code.

When I use an Android tablet to post, I don't experience any problems posting a workable link. The browser on my tablet is Chrome.
When formatting a quote, I do the same as when on my PC. I surround the quote with (and without the spaces)
[ quote ] to start and
[ / quote ] to end
as mentioned by Clip.

I agree with Tapatalk being good. I mostly use this now.
Once Tapatalk is installed I found it took me several attempts to find the group but it definitely exists.
There are some things that could be improved, such as the Tapatalk app opening when clicking on a web link within the web browser. The BBC news web site now offers this. Click on a link and it opens up the BBC News app.
If I could open web links in this way, it would enable me to search for previous topics using Google. The search function in Tapatalk and/or the rail forums is not as good as Google's one.
Also you can't amend topic titles in Tapatalk but you can on the web site. Beyond those few things I think it's great. Look may it continue to exist and be developed.

Once set up right, any forum you load that has Tapatalk support will make the thread link open the app directly. It really is good.
The downside is I am not sure how the admits can monetise the forum, or how advertising can be set up. More than 50% of my usage is on my phone and is effectively ad free.
