Had a weekend based in Karlsruhe this weekend and hopefully will get time to write a report.

Whilst at Ulm on Saturday 103235 worked EC118 which I think is expected.

Unfortunately around 1330 a Munich bound ICE hit a passenger whilst decelerating into Ulm station. Not sure exactly what happened but the person went under the train. The paramedics and police were quickly in attendance and after about twenty minutes the train reversed about 40m and the person was lifted onto a trolley and taken to hospital (presumably). I cannot find any details but if anyone can find and post a link with more info I would be most grateful.

Thanks,
Pete

Thanks for that. I hope she is OK.

I know from talking to station staff it is amazing how many people ignore the safety line in the UK too - epecially if they have one of those 'supermagnets' that seem powerfully attracted to the rails (called 'mobile phones' by the rest of us).

First of the links says she was hit "trotz abgegebenen Achtungspfiffs" - despite warning horn blasts from the train, and that "Grund hierfür war offenbar, dass sie den Sicherheitsabstand zur Bahnsteigkante nicht eingehalten hatte" - the reason was apparently not keeping behind the safety line.
