From what I saw today from an adjacent road, it looked as if all the track in the red shaded area had been ripped up. This would explain as to why this part of the depot was fenced off and any remaining locos moved prior to this happening.
From what I understand, a new shed will be built on this land? I’ve heard rumours this will be used to stable and maintain GBRf’s new Class 99s, although this isn’t confirmed.
If anyone has anymore news or updates regarding this, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Further rumours suggest it’ll be to maintain the Freightliner fleet, to offload some of the work off Midland Road.
