UK Scheduled Bus Services that use a Ferry.

Having recently been to Plymouth and travelled onboard Plymouth CityBus 32 HMS Raleigh - Plymouth & First Group's 81 Rame & Torpoint - Plymouth.

Both services use the Torpoint ferry, which bridges a gap between Devonport & Torpoint.

Are there any other such services in the country like this that use a ferry?

No, but you can get off to use the toilets onboard. Foot passengers travel free, and the buses will allow people to get on when the ferry is in motion.

Sorry, this doesn't answer the question at all but I got the bus from Copacabana to La Paz in Bolivia, not long after leaving Copacabana you have to get off the bus as it is loaded on to a raft to cross the Straights of Tiquina on Lake Titicaca. The passengers have to get on a small boat that looks a bit like a rusty pleasure cruiser, ha ha. You cross amongst literally dozens of these boats and rafts with outboard motors. It was the coolest bus/ferry combo ever. It was quite exciting seeing the bus with all your belongings on sat on a raft that looked like it was about to sink.

Shiel Buses' Fort William to Kilchoan service uses the ferry at Corran. Although it only runs once a day each way.

Never has been one AFAIK, neither ferry can take large vehicles (which have to go around via Totnes)

Is there such a rule that anyone who only travels one stop must pay (ie, free passes not valid)? If so I've never heard of it and would be interested to obtain more information. And if not, perhaps there should be! How would it be enforced though?

You didn't say they had free passes. I was going to comment that you may have meant holders of ENCTS cards. Is this what you implied?

Yes - it runs a couple of times a day from what I can remember. I was last up on Bute in the autumn & it West Coast Motors were still doing that run at the time.

I didn't quantify "they".

What I mean of course is the passenger will either pay cash or touch a smartcard for the appropriate fare (which in some cases will be paid according to a formula by the local authority.
