Highland Airways route from Benbecula to Inverness daily is to be scrapped as of 18th of June 2007. Their meaning is "we have come to the conclusion that due to the lack of passengers using the service and forward bookings being poor it is not viable to continue".

This leads Loganair the main opperator now for Bebecula providing flights to Glasgow and Barra (dependant on tides)

With the introduction of the new Valley-Cardiff service they plan further expansions for the regional air competition.

Flybe's take over of ex BA Connect introduces new and better connections for the domestic market and Flybes new fleet of 195s to replace RJ100s deeming popular by customers.

BMI Baby introduces even cheaper flights to the Anglo/Scottish route from the Midlands bringing fares as low as £16 including taxes return!.

New Airline FlyWoosh has started this month providing flights from Dundee Airport to Birmingham and Belfast from as low as £20. The airline opperating ATRs plan to opperate out of Dundee due to the size and cheapness of the airport compared to local Edinburgh.

Ta me
