UID ex-GWR power car on low loader

Hi all,

Seen a pic floating on FB of a green GWR HST power car on the back of an Allellys low loader heading out of Devon (only location given)

It had no visible numbers and the nameplate removed from side.

Does anyone know the ID ?

Looked like it was being taken straight to the mincer

Think it was said 005 was without its cab though... this one had a cab. I've seen the same photo.

43041 reported as going today. The number is/was on the van door on that one - possible Laira have robbed the door for re-use.

Maybe 041 or 171 then, they were also being prepared for removal

Saw 005 on the M5 at Taunton yesterday. Looked in a sorry state.

171 has its running numbers below the cab side windows so as correctly mentioned above it is indeed 041.
