I recently went to amend an Advance single with the Uber app and noticed that they had sold me a ticket for the same train on the following day, seemingly at the price point of the selected one. I was able to replicate this a couple of times and recorded the process on my phone, from which I have added screenshots below. (I have the original video and can share it if needed, but it includes personal details.) The problem is definitely not because I scrolled past the last train of my selected day and chose one for the following date – it genuinely gives a ticket for 28 April after selecting a train on 27. The problem doesn't seem to happen when you buy a new ticket, only for amendments to Advance singles.

Obviously this presents a real risk for good-faith passengers who do not realised that they have been sold the wrong ticket but cannot prove that Uber was in the wrong. In fairness, it does show the incorrect date on the confirmation screen before you go ahead with the amendment, but it is hardly unreasonable for a passenger to select the new train correctly and then expect this to be reflected on the ticket.

I have tried contacting Uber about this but they have a customer service system which seems designed to prevent you from getting through to them. Perhaps someone on here has a similar experience or is even in a position to get Uber to rectify this – and prevent any prosecutions!

Clearly Uber is an absolutely dire app and is little more than poor reskin of Omio, but it is useful for free Advance amendments, so it is possible that someone has been or will be caught out by this.

Definitely seems to be something going wrong there! I have raised it to be looked into.
