At Tylsely today I saw unit 121020 arrive, towing two other units.

I noted the side numbers and wondered what they were?

Any ideas?

also, any unit numbers?

121020

Side numbers - spotted from a distance
97045
550028
977850

Is that the Chiltern bubble car and the assorted Network Rail sandite and such conversions someone spotted the other day parked up at a Chiltern depot?

Yes it is former Aylesbury sandite units 960015 and 960010. The former is the NR yellow class 122, ex 55019 and the other is the maroon class 121, ex 55024. Both have evidently been sold for preservation. 121020 is going to have some work done on it at Tyseley and will eventually return to Aylesbury.

Yep. They have been sitting at Aylesbury all week, they were supposed to go back on Tuesday but never made it. They had a driver at Aylesbury all day Wednesday to take it too and it never made it out of the station that day either. Better late than never I guess, even if it costs you a fortune in rest day working...

Thanks for this.

I have done a on-line search and these were the units I saw.
