It looks likely I may have this, pending a blood test which I will be having on Friday at my doctor's recommendation.

Do any of you have Type 2 Diabetes and if so, what symptons did you encounter before diagnosis, and what changes have you had to make to your life?

I have been Type 2 Diabetic for approx 15 years and I am on medication.

The symptoms for me were drinking lots of water and feeling very tired !.

I initially treated my diabetes with diet only for the first 5 years , and I have been in medication for the last 10 years.

The medication I am on is Metformin and Glicazide for my diabetes and I am on other medication for my cholesterol and high blood pressure.

The best thing I did to help my diabetes out was to stop drinking, the amount of sugar in alcohol is shocking !.

For me the best part of being on medication for being diabetic is that I get free NHS prescriptions !

If you want any help and advise me please PM me !.
