Type 1 diabetic: Can I pass a conductor medical?

Hi,

I have been offered a conductor position. I am awaiting my medical. I cannot find any clear information about insulin dependent type 1 diabetes. I have my diabetes well controlled and monitored and have never had a hypo. I am really worried my condition could lose me my dream job......any help from any safety critical rail workers would be very much appreciated.
