I know you can buy a weekly NetworkOne Tyne & Wear Rover ticket at Metro ticket machines and on the respective bus company (Stagecoach, Go North East, Arriva) apps, but can you buy it on the bus? Or if not, is there a ticket you CAN buy on the bus for a week that is multi-operator? I ask because I'm travelling to Tyne & Wear and can't use the apps (they don't accept Irish debit cards) and will be nowhere near a Metro station. Thanks.

The NetworkOne website suggests that you can buy them on board:

GET THE APP

You can buy our tickets on the following apps:

Arriva – www.arrivabus.co.uk/bus-tickets/m-ticket/m-ticket-faqs/

Go North East – www.gonortheast.co.uk/gneapp

Stagecoach – www.stagecoachbus.com/regional-help-and-contact/north-east/app

Please note Four Weekly Anytime and Student tickets must be purchased from the Go North East app.

BUY AT A METRO TICKET MACHINE

Day Rover, Explorer North East, Weekly and Four Weekly Travel tickets can be purchased from a Metro ticket machine.

Please note the ticket will start on the day of purchase.

BUY FROM THE BUS DRIVER

Day Rover and Explorer North East tickets can be purchased from the bus driver on the day of travel.

I'm not aware of weekly Network One passes being available for purchase on buses. You can buy single-operator ones on the bus but with a few exceptions (eg. a weekly pass valid on Go North East 307/309 services is also valid on Arriva 306/308) there aren't any multi-operator ones available from a bus driver.
