Hello all.

I have been travelling regularly recently on the Tyne & Wear metro and was wondering how often the unit pairs are split? Also are the units mixed up on diagrams? I ask because I use roughly the same services each day and it appears to be the same units almost every day now for the last few weeks. If anyone knows where I maybe able to find and diagram information for the Metro I'll be very grateful. Many thanks.

Kind regards.

Quantum Spotter.

Routine exams depend on mileage therefore if a 2 car set doesn't have any faults on it, both cars will remain coupled until the next exam. Sets are allocated in the early morning depending on how close their mileage is to the exam mileage, so it is very unlikely to see the same set on the same diagram two days in a row.

Thank you 142094. That's very helpful. I must just be in the wrong place at the wrong time. I do appear to be catching 4084 from Sunderland rather a lot.
