I've booked an anytime day return from Newcastle to Carlisle and an off-peak day single from Manchester to Preston, both with a 16-25 railcard and both on a weekday*. In the latter's confirmation email, there's a section making it clear that it isn't valid before 10:00 because of the railcard, but not in the email for the Newcastle – Carlisle ticket. Brfares doesn't list any time restrictions for an anytime NCL – CAR ticket with a 16-25 railcard, but I want to make sure beforehand that there aren't any.

*18 December if it's important; I think some TOCs have slightly relaxed rules around the end of the year?

An Anytime Day Return from Newcastle to Carlisle is more than £12 after discount so there is no time restriction
Off Peak Day Single Manchester to Preston is less than £12 after discount so does have have a restriction

The railcard restriction is a minimum £12 fare before 10am, which you exceed with your first ticket.

Just to add that an Off Peak Day Single from Manchester Stns to Preston is likely to be routed "TPE Only" and so can't normally alternatively be used on Northern Trains.

It's a £10.10 route any permitted ticket, not the TPE one ~£2 cheaper.

So noted. That'll then be a flexible Anytime Day Single.

No problem using that after at any time after when minimum fares cease to be applicable.

Especially because my outbound journey's with an advance ticket from Warrington getting to Manchester at ~11:00, but that's useful for future reference.
