Tyne Valley Diversions 2013

Hi all
Just to say that according to NRE, the closure of the ECML between Newcastle and Edinburgh (resulting in diversions of East Coast HSTs via Carlisle and the WCML) will be on this year:

Saturday:
9th November

Sunday:
10th Nov
17th Nov
24th Nov
1st Dec

Note that on 9th Nov there will be three 67+Mk4 drags like last year - two southbound and one northbound with all of the days seeing hourly HSTs.
A first class trip from Newcastle to Edinburgh may be in order on the 17th!!

Extra few hours in 1st and a nice route as well. I did notice a lot of people doing Newcastle - Carlisle and back last year on rovers, but sure this would get boring after two return trips or so.

One note of interest for the track bashers (and photters)

On Saturday 9th November the 10:05 Newcastle - Edinburgh is booked to be looped at Quintinshill from 11:44 to 11:59 to allow the 08:30 Euston - Glasgow to overtake.
