Getting confusing all this which metrocars were involved in the incident as there is a photo on the Sort out the metro Facebook page of a heavily graffitied metrocar(s) with what looks like pantograph damage yet we saw photos of a battery loco rescuing those units. Did they just put them into Pelaw sidings and if so why, either way the consequences are both units have been badly vandalised.

There must of been another incident involving 4088/4006(although it must be 88 with the fault as the pan was down on that unit but not the other) and this may of been the reason why the service was suspended from Gateshead Stadium yesterday and not Heworth like today(and Thursday).

Just a few more units going to be out of action for a while, sadly the depot move has seemingly stuffed everything up, parts of the old depot should of remained operational until all the old fleet was retired and how this debacle was not seen remains a mystery.

4006 was in service today, though I didn't see if it was still coupled to 4088. I think 4006/4088 were sent down with the battery loco on Friday morning to assist in recovering the stranded set.
