An Instagram post by Kim McGuinness says that all 599s will be withdrawn this summer and then an increase in frequency in December, presumably at the NR timetable change
No doubt this is the 10-minute headways (outside the core line) they proposed in the past but how many units would they need to be able to run trains more frequently than that without it causing issues with the shared NR section? There's 46 555 sets but only 28 diagrams (50% of the fleet) so surely with the increase in reliability with the new fleet and after the signalling upgrades they could have a lot more diagrams in use
