Tyne and Wear metro cable stolen again

This is the third day in a row where the cable has been stolen in the same place.

What in earth is going on, feeling really sorry for Metro as it's just unfeasible to monitor the entire line.

I’m sure the first day they stole cable it was while the trains were still running. Brazen criminals.

Cable theft has always been a problem on the TW metro and will likely be for a long time still. I just don't understand why you would want to risk yourself next to high voltage cables

I don't think it's been that big of an issue in all honesty but when it does happen, it seems to occur in bursts like we have got at the moment.

Was today's issue actual cable theft or a fault which could be related to the previous cable thefts? Either way it took them much longer to get the service up and running again.
