Tylsey depot

While I am aware you can easily see Tylsley depot from the train, is there any good vanage points to see what the have and take photos?

TBH, I'm not sure where would be a good place to "spy down" into that depot to get all of the traction bud.

I've been past it a few times and every single time, there just looks to be no way of getting anything other than as you go past on the train

You can see the carriage sidings from the platforms of the station. You should be able to see into the factory from the railway museum entrance on Warwick road, albeit through a fence and across a car park.

There is a footbridge just outside Small Heath station on the A45 back to the airport direction with a good vantage point to see stock moving in and out of the depot and the top stabling roads.

If you are going to take photos the sun will be in front of you in the afternoon when look at the main line ( London to the left and Brum to your right).

Apart from the station and the main gate where you can see the odd unit out front.
