Off to White City from Twyford on Saturday. What's the cheapest way of doing this?

- Goldcard return to Ealing Broadway, then Oyster PAYG to White City

- Goldcard return for the whole journey

In addition, my Oyster may need a topup before I can use it. Is there anywhere at Ealing Broadway this can be done without exiting the barriers?

You haven't said if you are doing a single or a return, or if so when you are returning.

A Day return from Twyford to Zone U23 London route Ealing Common/W Acton is £9.40.
A Day return from Twyford to Ealing Broadway is £7.40, and assuming you have the Gold Card discount added to your Oyster card is 95p each way, so this works out 10p cheaper.

You can top up your Oyster card online, and collect it on the validators at Ealing Broadway whilst interchanging.

Now you do. But it can sometimes be difficult getting a clerk that (a) knows it's allowed and (b) knows how to do it.

You can get the discount added at ''Tube, London Overground and some National Rail ticket offices'' as long as the card is registered (you can do this at the same time).
