Applied on-line for a Two Together Railcard tonight for Mrs Cumberland and me. I was using my I- pad and when I submitted the application it was quickly rejected because the digital photos were " not properly orientated". They were fine when I clicked the submit button but when they were rejected they were now sideways on! Just to clarify I sent them in " portrait" but they were received in "landscape".
After three rejected attempts. I rang the helpline and explained the problem and the lady immediately asked if I was using an I-pad. Apparently there is a glitch which is turning the photos through 90 degrees causing them to be rejected.
Thought I would share to avoid anyone else wasting their time. I cracked it using camera and laptop instead.

The glitch is on their side, not handling the orientation flag in the image's EXIF data correctly...

I notice this happens a lot when emailing pictures off my iPad. The recipient frequently has to rotate them, so I don't use it for railcard or similar photos because of this bug.
