Two Tier Stations

Well Warrington Bank Quay is on two levels (, two lots of tracks, although platforms annit).

I was interested to discover this week that Tamworth is effectively two railway stations in one, with the WCML on one level, and the cross country line on another.
what other stations on the network are there like this? The only other one I am aware of is Liskeard, which has the mainline on one level and the branchline to Looe on another.

PS I am not interested in London Underground stations!!!!

What about Tyne and Wear Metro?

If you count the T&W metro, then you've got the rather odd situation of having the same line on two levels at Monument, thanks to the loop. There's a similar arrangement in Bucharest.

if light rail systems are counted then (if it has not been said) east Croydon could eb counted (the Croydon tramlink on top, main line below) also you may be able to count birmingham international with the maglev station and the main line aswell

I know you said no underground, But Canning Town is maybe the ultimate two tier station, with the DLR and Jubilee Line platforms literally on top of eachother, and as they're all above ground it sort of counts, plus it used to have NR services until just a few years ago, now its going to have two more DLR platforms (getting from one set to the other will be a bit of a pain, though).

Its also got a strange new flyover arrangement at one end, where the Northbound trains off the City Airport line pass under the same piece of elevated track twice, and end up on the same side as they started from (why didn't they just route it round the outside?)

Not on this network, but I can thoroughly recommend a visit to Berlin's new Hauptbahnhof. North/South through lines topped with shopping/reception area, topped with East/West lines all very visible and all topped off with an overall roof. Fantastic!

Moorgate certainly counts as the sub surface platforms are for the Circle line, Hammersmith & City line, Metropolitan line and the former Thameslink branchline while the deep level platforms are for the Northern City Line.

Under British Rail Moorgate had the unusual distinction of having platforms in two different B R regions (ie, Thameslink platforms were London Midland region and the Stevenage/Hertford platforms were Eastern region)

Well, just along from Canning Town, West Ham, too, where the system of platform numbering is almost as illogical at the next two-tier station along the line, Stratford (where of course the Overground is now upstairs; the former Overground platforms downstairs will reopen shortly on the DLR, completely separate from the other DLR platforms upstairs and indeed the other former DLR platform, also upstairs)

But West Ham: platforms 1 & 2 (District & Hammersmith and City lines) and 7 & 8 (c2c) upstairs; platforms 3 & 4 (formerly Crosstown LinkLine/Silverlink/North London Line, currently closed, soon to reopen for DLR) and 5 & 6 (Jubilee line) downstairs and on the other side of Manor Road.

Cross to Belgium, though, and Antwerp Central (or if you prefer, Antwerpen-Centraal) must surely be the ultimate multi-level main line station (superb, elegant architecture, too). Three layers of tracks, all right on top of each other, under a big arched roof (with the ticket offices, etc, at another level between the top and middle levels)
