Two Pieces of Unidentified track

Hello, after my recent visit to north wales, i noticed a couple of railway lines near the border which i was wondering where they went to as i looked on my road map and couldn't see where they went. Locations are below

Can't find a link to the other one, it is on the A5 East of Shrewsbury Immediately after the A49 roundabout in the Eastbound direction.

That'll be the Shrewsbury-Wolverhampton line, 2tph each way Monday-Saturday, one ATW fast and one LM stopper. Usually a 158 on the former and a 170 on the latter.

The first one (that you linked to) looks like the Oswestry branch, I'm not fully sure of it's status at the moment, but it joins the national, operational network near Gobowen (http://goo.gl/maps/nqbi5). That's actually shown on the map on the page you linked to!

Yes, i noticed it joined the network, but it appears to come to a junction at some point south of the level crossing

The line over the A5 is the former branch from Gobowen to Oswestry. Cambrian Heritage Railways have plans to restore the service. http://www.cambrianrailways.com/html/map_of_chr_lines.html
