I am looking at this tour to probably photo it and I was wondering as it is heading northbound it says this in the timings!

Oxford UDPL a 17.xx water

Banbury 18.08

Oh this is interesting...Let me check my Quail map...

Yep, as I expected (had to check to be sure), it's the bit of track between the usual divergance off platform 1 to the mainline that goes over Tuckwells then back to the mainline at Hinksey North.

Should be filming this tour myself at Wotton Bassett or at Bristol Parkway (depend which method of transport I choose for tomorrow).

Nah, that's the Down through line.

When leaving platform 1 towards Didcot Parkway on a normal passenger train, you go back onto the Up line shortly afterwards. Beyond this divergance is more track on the same line you just left (it is now on the left-hand-side of the train). This is the Up and Down Passenger Loop (UDPL) which the tour will be using.

Also, since I remember, looking at that photo of the 31 is slightly spooky, in that I filmed 31106 non-stop making a nice bit of noise and clag through Oxford on the Down through line (on which you've photted it on) on 8th May. Per chance was that the day you took that photo? I noticed it was added on 11th May, but that means nothing sometimes...

No It was on the friday as it was teacher training! It did make a nice bit of noise as it came through then with a toot as well but I didn't have my video recorder out!!! I couldn't believe it but I saw it so I was happy! I take it I wont be able to see the tour being filled up if its a bit far down the line!

Get yourself on the footbridge visible to the south of the station (accessed via the carpark), you MIGHT see it from there!
