Many of you will no doubt head to malaga during the summer. Despite the arrival of the standard gauge high speed line and the reduction of traditional train services over the old broad gauge mainline there is still something to keep most enthusiasts interested in the area. Was just there and very impressed with the local service to Fuengirola which was very modern indeed. Noticed in the main station that there wasn't really that many intercity or regional services though and the last left Malaga pretty early (hardly any after 8pm), seems surprising to build a HS line then hardly use it!

Any word on the proposed metro system for Malaga either? Is it nearly finished yet?
