Nasty, and seemingly rather bizarre accident in Stanley yesterday morning. An image in today's Times shows a Pointer Dart embedded in the front of Paladin II-bodied Olympian. The Olly is in what appears the correct position, a small distance from the nearside edge of the carriageway and in a straight line, with the Dart looking to have driven straight at it on the wrong side of the road. There is tarmac visible behind the Olympian which would suggest the road is wide enough for two vehicles. Oddly both buses appear to be dead straight, literally as if driven directly at one another. Front wheels of the Dart are shown dead straight, while the Olympian has its wheels turned to the left, but doesn't seem to have actually begun to turn prior to the smash. Very odd indeed on the face of it.
Does anybody local have any thoughts on what happened here?
