Good evening today Wednesday 08th December 2021.
I did a final bash on 321 non prm units over and extra what I would have done normally due to northern 153 ending early.
However this week final week there is a huge substantial difference to the amount out.
Usually you could get around 18 to 20 out at one point.
Last week there was 14 out most days.
Still even 14 was only slightly noticeable.
However the biggest major change was today only 335 336 342 343 423 424 427 430 434 x9 was in service down from 5 in one week.
However 321331 was parked up on it's own in southend Victoria carriage sidings lights out but pan up.
Clacton this week has also seen the brunt off less non prm 321s along with the usual 1451 Ipswich to London liverpool Street.

They should come out in the next week for Christmas capacity as 12 coach configuration as I saw a 12 car yesterday formed of 321430 322*** 321310

Was that in the morning? Because when I saw it at shenfield prior to working the ingaestone school off fame train.
It went back to London liverpool Street from platform one as a four car.
Later on from colchester.
And started ecs from ilford E.M.U.D Depot when passing it on 1448 braintree to London liverpool Street.
Before I went a final bash to southend Victoria.

Working from home rules come in on Monday, the city was looking empty already today. I would doubt there will be a need for 12 car sets in the run-up to Christmas this year. Could they bow-out just as the 90s and 360s did, without fanfare under Covid restrictions?

One interesting thought mentioned in another thread, could one of the non-refurb Driving cars get swapped out with the one damaged on the crossing earlier this week? Giving us a heritage car of sorts for a bit!

If a farewell is to happen for them, it will undoubtedly be with a Renatus unit as they’ll be the last to leave - as it will be towards the end of 2022 they’re expected to be gone, hopefully things will be at a reasonable level of normality to be able to hold some form of farewell.

Was most certainly a 8 car I am afraid have it on video with 321430 on the front end. Retanus 321 on the London end.
Also have it as 8 car twice on video in the evening leaving London liverpool Street around 8pm.
Off where I had quite the pleasure in telling security poliety where to Go.
And I will keep on filming all night iff I want to.

424 is sandwiched in between 302 & 328 on this evenings 2000 Liverpool St - Harwich service, a rare recent 12 car 321 working me thinks.

It would’ve been either 406 or 409 (the last two with GA) - if one end had a white skirt, it was 409.

321434 is the rear set on the 17:20 LST-Btree and 18:33 return then if keeping to diagram the 20:18 to Clacton. I’ve only seen one other unidentified non PRM set out this evening.

The 1740 Colchester Town has a NON PRM 321 on the back - looks like 334. It came from the sidings near Temple Mills.
