TVM Down and Can't Collect Tickets

I went to my local station just now to collect some tickets to find it completely in the dark, all lighting, the TVM and PIS screens blank. Very localised power cut.

I am on an early train tomorrow morning, and by the time I've got to Leeds (where the connection does give me time to collect them) it will be 20 minutes after my advance ticket starts.

1. Will I be able to collect advance tickets after the time on the ticket?
2. If not what are my options?

I'd ideally like to not drive across Leeds to another station tonight to collect them. Never happened to me before and Google searching is not right helpful.

Bookings are deleted from from LSM (the industry ToD bookings database) between 28 and 56 days after last ticket expiry depending on the retailer and how they handle uncollected ToD bookings, I believe.

If the TVM is still dead (take a picture of it), or a picture with message saying out of service or whatever.

If your train is delayed, will have less time at connection to get the tickets, and as soon as you have connected to different route, the staff on that train might be out of the loop with dead machine on another line. So having evidence sorts any no ticket dispute.

From memory most mobile ticket machine can download the tickets from the code if they are unlocked (although if staff can be bothered to go through the process and print them on train for you is another matter), probably not if you need cross London tickets to operate tube barriers, but instead would probably give you a zero value notice to collect in London

It's a pity you can't alter your ToD booking to an e-ticket to cover situations like this.
Unfortunately whenever I book through work a ticket onto the Hertford Loop is always mandatory to collect. No e ticket option. My ticket from there to New Barnet and New Barnet home are both E tickets ironically!

Thanks others for replies, sounds like evidence it and try at first opportunity and all should be fine. Leeds I have a good 23 minutes which should be more than enough to collect them but evidence it if not.
